SECRETLY GREATLY

I accidentally stumbled across this film a couple of days ago. It was number one last week at the Korean box office, beating “man of steel” and all the other summer blockbusters. I had never heard of it, and after watching the trailer and reading up on it, I can’t get it out of my mind.
The premise of this film sounds original, and I can already tell from the trailer that this one is probably gonna be better than any film to be released in cinemas this year (I just hope we get it here in Ireland).
The story of three spies who are trained in North Korea and then deployed to South Korea.
The main character takes the identity of a harmless mentally challenged young adult and befriends a shop owner, who allows him to live in a small apartment above the shop. He lends a helping hand at the shop and has become really popular with all the other residents in the village.
He is unaware that 2 other spies have been sent to the same area and have both taken different and unrecognisable identities.
They all must live amongst each other with their new identities until they receive orders from the north to carry out the mission.
We all know that the Koreans can make brilliant thrillers. They gave us masterpieces like, “man from nowhere”, “the Yellow Sea”, “I saw the devil”, “chaser “. The list goes on and on. So, I have no doubt in my mind that this film will be up there with all the other Korean greats.
I’m a little excited about this one.
